For more than four decades, exterior renovations have been part of our work — long before Curb Appeal Exterior ever had a name.
Our story begins with Schroeder Design Build, a family-owned design-build firm that has been serving homeowners for over 40 years with interior remodels and exterior renovations rooted in craftsmanship, integrity, and thoughtful design.
Andrew Schroeder grew up in that business, learning every part of the process firsthand. He became a minority owner of SDB in 2005, a majority owner in 2009, and 100% owner in 2011.
Over the years, Andrew began to notice a clear gap in the roofing and siding industry. Too often, exterior projects were treated like commodities — rushed, under-designed, and lacking the transparency and care that had always defined his family’s work. Homeowners were being asked to make major investments without the guidance, planning, or attention to detail they deserved.
Rather than accept that standard, Andrew made a deliberate decision.
In 2021, he chose to keep Schroeder Design Build fully focused on interior remodeling and to create a dedicated sister company that could bring the same 40 years of experience, design integrity, and client-first mindset exclusively to exterior renovations.
That decision led to the creation of Curb Appeal Exterior.
Launched in 2023, Curb Appeal Exterior was not a startup built from scratch — it was a focused extension of decades of hands-on experience.
From day one, the mission has been clear: apply proven processes, thoughtful design, and honest craftsmanship to roofing, siding, and exterior projects, without shortcuts or sales pressure.
Andrew’s vision is reinforced by longtime sales and production expert Franc Cordero, whose decades of field experience ensure every project is executed with precision and accountability. Together, they lead a team that understands exteriors not as isolated projects, but as long-term investments that must perform, age well, and reflect the homeowner’s trust.
Today, Curb Appeal Exterior carries forward 40 years of renovation experience with a singular focus on exteriors — building not just better-looking homes, but lasting confidence for the people who live in them.

As the visionary behind Curb Appeal Exterior, Andrew Schroeder brings over two decades of leadership, innovation, and design-build expertise to every project. Growing up in the family business founded by his parents, Tom and Trish Schroeder—pioneers in the Northern Virginia remodeling industry—Andrew developed a deep respect for craftsmanship, integrity, and community.
With a degree in Business Management from James Madison University and a passion for systems and optimization, Andrew officially became the second-generation owner in 2011. His commitment to quality and forward-thinking approach inspired the creation of Curb Appeal Exterior—a company built to extend the Schroeder legacy into roofing, siding, and exterior design with the same trusted values.
An award-winning remodeler and industry leader, Andrew continues to set the standard for excellence while balancing a love of travel, powerlifting, and family life with his wife and three daughters.
Franc Cordero

Franc oversees daily operations, quality control, and makes sure each project is delivered on time and to specification.
With more than 20 years of experience in the construction industry—and over 16 of those focused specifically on exterior home remodeling—Franc brings a deep understanding of what it takes to deliver durable, beautiful, and design-driven results. At Curb Appeal Exterior, he works closely with homeowners from the first consultation to project completion, serving as a trusted liaison between clients and the production team.
Known for his dedication to building strong, lasting relationships, Franc takes pride in making every homeowner feel informed and confident throughout the remodeling process. Fully bilingual in English and Spanish, he connects easily with a diverse range of clients across Northern Virginia.
Outside of work, Franc is passionate about fitness, holistic wellness, and personal growth. His love of travel and global exploration—through seminars and retreats focused on self-improvement and spirituality—continues to shape his positive, people-first approach to both life and work. Franc resides in Fairfax, VA.
